Fenn Wilson

*** PLEASE NOTE, THIS GIG IS NOW SOLD OUT ***

Fenn Wilson is one of this country’s most exciting new young performers.

With his stunning vocals and mesmerising stage presence, he shows a depth of talent which belies his young age, prompting both Queenscliff Music Festival and Port Fairy Festival to announce him as their emerging artist of the year in 2018/19. Think George Ezra with Nick Cave’s early songbook.

Fenn is the beloved son of the admired bluesman Chris and it is quite clear that music runs richly through Fenn’s veins. With a baritone that is resonant and expressive well beyond his years, Fenn’s songwriting forms a snapshot of his recent past; brushes with heartache, depression, world-weariness and uncertainty, and often  lightened with compassionate observation, love and redemption.

His debut album, ‘Ghost Heroin’ also featuring younger brother George (Bones & Jones, Pollyman), saw AIR making it their feature album of the week and critics reaching for superlatives:

“I can’t get over how good it is. ….something you can actually describe as ‘perfect’ … This track is rare.”  – Jonathan Alley, Triple R

‘So swept up in this heartfelt, bluesy beauty from Fenn and the bare bones appeal makes it so much more powerful.”  – Declan Byrne, Triple J

Take a listen to ‘Eye On You’ below thanks to themusic.com.au and The Ember Lounge, St Kilda:

Playing this show alongside his brother George, the intimacy of George Lane will be an idyllic setting for Fenn’s music.

‘Joe Division’ will be supporting Fenn on the evening. Lighter in one hand, flute in the other, Joe Division lights a spark with a beat and blows on it with a flute, engulfing the dancefloor in firey groove.

This will be a Priority Seating Ticketed Show. Doors Open at 6pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here:
