The Julia Deans and Jonnie Goes To Church Show
Julia Deans and Celia Church have been crossing musical paths since the early ’90s — from Headless Chickens and Banshee Reel, to Fur Patrol’s #1 hit Lydia and Celia’s acclaimed collaborations with Jon von Goes. When they finally met in Melbourne, their voices blended effortlessly and their friendship has been inseparable ever since.
Julia has gone on to become NZ rock royalty, with Silver Scroll and Taite Prize nominations, solo albums, and collaborations with the likes of Neil Finn and Tami Neilson. Celia has toured, recorded, and built a rich catalogue with Jonnie Goes To Church — their debut album drawing praise from Tim Rogers, Angie Hart and Rebecca Barnard.

Mark Snarski
Mark Snarski returns to Australia in November for five shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Fremantle to celebrate the release of the last of his trilogy I Like To Leave A Place As If I Never Stayed only found at shows and on Bandcamp.
It is a double album. Stay was recorded at Tutu Estudios in Avilés with the assistance of Sergio Tutu and Héctor Moriv, who had previously co-produced the second of his trilogy Such Are The Sounds Of Trains. Leave comes from embers of his first, I Have To Burn Everything Before I Start Cooking, which was co-produced by Matt Walker and Rowan Matthews at Stovepipe in Upwey.
In Melbourne and Sydney he will be accompanied by Jason Kain, co-founder of The Jackson Code, whilst in Perth long-time friends will be putting country tinges on songs that someone once described as 13 Bar Blues.

Formidable Sydney musician Pat Powell and Melbourne’s own Kerri Simpson will be getting their roots music groove on for an intimate once only show. Keeping it “fonky” will be the soul searing, sheer brilliance of Shannon Bourne on guitar, master mason of the keys, Tim Neal, king of hard hitting swing Andrew Swann, drums, and mythical Mark Ferrie on bass. Together they will be performing some of their favorite spirituals, gospel and blues tunes.
