Melbourne mod/power-pop legends Little Murders return to the stage for a special matinee performance at George Lane on Saturday 25 July.
Formed in Melbourne in 1979 by singer-guitarist Rob Griffiths, Little Murders exploded out of the late ’70s underground to become one of the most influential bands of Australia’s mod revival. Their debut single “Things Will Be Different” / “Take Me I’m Yours” (released December 1979 on Au-Go-Go Records) sold out its first pressing of 1,000 copies almost instantly and has since earned its place as a cornerstone of alternative Australian pop history.
More than four decades on, Little Murders show no signs of slowing. Their acclaimed new album Under Northern Lights (October 2024) on Off The Hip records, followed by a second Japanese tour in 2025. This May, the band will take another major step — playing the UK for the first time.
Expect sharp songs, fierce rhythm and a reminder of why Little Murders remain one of Australia’s most respected and enduring live bands.
