Bring your special someone to this show and get insider secrets on how artistic alliances keep Cupid’s bow in tune. Be entertained and maybe even ‘therapised’ by a luscious line up of Melbourne’s finest bonded musical pairs. Delicious duos each deliver a sweet set then band together for a big lovin’ spoonful to finish the night.

ALISON FERRIER

London born and raised singer/songwriter/guitarist/violinist Alison Ferrier has released three solo albums and most recently has been touring and releasing music with the highly regarded Opelousas, alongside Kerri Simpson and Anthony Shortte. Their debut album ‘Opelousified’ won Music Victoria Best Blues Album of the year.

JEFF LANG

In a career spanning over 30 years and many stylistic twists, Jeff Lang has won three ARIAs, collaborated with Malian Kora virtuoso Mamadou Diabate and Tabla maestro Bobby Singh in Djan Djan, recorded and performed in India and Australia with Rajasthani Desert musicians in Maru Tarang and recorded an album with the US roots enigma Chris Whitley. He's toured the UK, US and Europe multiple times and played extensively in Asia, including appearances in major festivals in Japan, China and India. Jeff and Alison record and perform together as ‘High Ace’

SUZANNAH ESPIE

With a voice marrying country, soul, blues and pop, Suzannah has released 3 solo albums and has appeared on recordings by Mick Thomas, Jeff Lang, Matt Walker and Liz Stringer. She was named MBAS Blues Performer of the Year in 2008 and Port Fairy Festival Artist of the Year in 2013. Suzannah’s bands include GIT, The Junes and The Cartridge Family.

JACK O’DELL

Drummer, singer, songwriter Jack O’Dell has been a mainstay of the Washington DC music scene for many moons. He has performed with the Thrillbillys and Bill Kirchen.

SHERRY RICH

Sherry Rich is a singer songwriter who works across country, folk, adult pop and rock genres in the Australian and US music landscape. Her album ‘The Divine Crimson V’ was nominated for ‘Best Country Work’ in the 2022 Music Victoria Awards. Sherry lived and worked in Nashville for ten years and has collaborated with many song-writing legends; Jim Lauderdale, Tammy Rogers, Amy Rigby, Buddy Miller, Walt Wilkins, Paul Kelly and Mick Thomas. Her songs have featured in US TV and movie soundtracks and been recorded by artists from Finland to Texas. Sherry’s 2014 album Dakota Avenue created in Wilco’s Chicago loft studio with the late Jay Bennett was hailed “An Instant Roots-Pop Classic” by Michael Dwyer of Rolling Stone Magazine.

RICK PLANT

Rick Plant hails from Boston Massachusetts and trained at the Berklee School of Music. As a Nashville session musician, he played on Grammy and Oscar nominated songs and enjoyed 15 years touring and recording with country music luminaries like Buddy Miller, Gillian Welch and Emmylou Harris. Rick has performed at The Grand Old Opry, The Filmore Theatre and Carnegie Hall. Based in Australia since 2007, he has continued working as a sought- after multi - instrumentalist with the Audreys, Ash Davies, his partner Sherry Rich, and the Mudcakes. Rick has his own instrumental band and enjoys playing bass and guitar in Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Rolling Stones and Ry Cooder tributes. He released a ‘Quirky Christmas Cocktail Album’ in 2018.

Together Sherry and Rick have toured Europe and performed at major festivals and venues including the Recital Centre, Arts Centre Spiegeltent, Moomba and The Brisbane Festival.
