After a brief hiatus, while recording, their new album “Wildlife”-the Snake Preachers are back with a vengeance! They have just released a new single called “Half Past Midnight”, along with the B side “Rainy Night in Denpasar.”
Join them for their vinyl release party for the new single. They will be playing songs from their unreleased album, as well as their newly released single “Half Past Midnight”. They will be joined by the innovative, super cool, and quirky Mūrakaru, an experimental, jazz-inspired funky post-rock band based in Melbourne.
What to expect….
The Snake Preachers are an all original four-piece Narrm outfit that weave dark, evocative, and moody soundscapes and melodies loosely inspired by a cocktail of vintage genres. Their sound can best be described as a post punk blend of Southern Gothic, Alt-Rock & Alt-Blues. With uniquely original song that bend and blend old-school driving syncopated rhythms with Rockabilly, Psychedelia, R&B, and Gospel roots. Their sound has been compared to bands like the Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Tom Waites, the Grindeman, The Cramps, and even Jeff Buckley.
