Cheersquad Records & Tapes are proud to present a rare live performance from the truly iconic Melbourne singer and songwriter Stephen Cummings with his band.
Stephen returns to George Lane for one Melbourne show only to celebrate the release of his new EP Joy which features profoundly moving reinterpretations of four of his favourite Australian songs: "Living in the Balance" (originally by Dag, 2021), "Unfamiliar Ground" (Jess Ribeiro, 2015), "No Word from China" (Pel Mel, 1980) and "Fly Without Its Wings" (Mike Rudd's Spectrum, 1971).
An ARIA Award-winning artist, Stephen has enjoyed a long, creative and distinguished career since fronting The Sports in the late ’70s and ’80s.
This will be his first full-band Melbourne performance since 2023, promising an inspiring and emotional afternoon of unforgettable music.
Launching Joy in a special matinee show, Stephen will perform all four tracks from the EP alongside selections from his acclaimed 1989 album Lovetown and other fan favourites.
