Sanny Veloo (Single Launch) + The IANS & Special Guests

St Kilda rock muso Sanny Veloo returns to George Lane with the launch of his soul-stirring new single “Love Has Set You Free” — a stadium-sized anthem about grief, healing, and letting love light the way forward.

This is the third single from Veloo’s upcoming debut solo album, set to drop this November. It follows a massive run of momentum with his last two singles:

🔥 “Warning Signs” hit 20K+ views in just 3 days for its one-take music video filmed at Balaclava train station, (almost!) sold out the Northside launch at Bergy Bandroom, and kicked off a wave of international airplay across the USA, Canada, Singapore, and Brazil. It’s also been spinning on multiple community radio stations across Australia.

🔥 “A Brighter Tomorrow” packed out the Espy Gershwin Room, sold out Veloo’s first international show in Singapore, landed him a semi-finalist spot in the International Songwriting Competition in Nashville, and was featured in a 14-show run at the Adelaide Fringe Festival as part of an award-winning theatre production.

Now, with Love Has Set You Free, Veloo brings the energy back to his Southside home ground with a full-throttle live set of anthems, catharsis, and crowd-fuelled unity and energy.

🔥 With Good Mates:

The IANS – Modern alt-grunge from Canberra-via-NSW. Think Nirvana, The Strokes, and Bob Dylan in a blender. The Ians bring razor-sharp hooks, thrashing guitars, and a no-holds-barred live show. Their cult-fave EP Elephant Fresh racked up 40K+ views and scored them a coveted St Kilda Fest slot. You’re gonna walk away with a new favourite band.

Tastydaze – A high-energy garage punk fireball from Malaysia and Australia. If The Hives played your house party, it’d sound like this: loud, fast, chaotic fun. Total legends of the Melbourne underground — catch them now before they blow up.

Chordie Flow – Indie rock from St Kilda with swagger and smarts. Think Arctic Monkeys meets The Strokes. Led by the local legend behind Dogs Bar’s iconic open mic, Chordie Flow radiate infectious hooks and community spirit — especially on their crowd fave single “Country Girl.”

💣 Four bands. One night. No fluff — just a powerful celebration of rock, resilience, and freedom.
